Tipsy Tow

In certain states, AAA will take you home and tow your car for free so you won't drink and drive.

The AAA Tipsy Tow or Tow to Go service is not available in every state. Here in Rhode Island, the service was stopped due to abuse by people who used it as a personal taxi.

The service is available in the states listed from 6 p.m. on the Fourth of July until 6 a.m. on July 5.

 

"One in three people will be involved in an alcohol-related crash in their lifetime." - National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The American Automobile Association is hoping the Tipsy Tow service is not abused this year.

AAA states that it "strongly encourages family and friends to pick a designated driver before they head out for any 4th of July celebrations.”

Enjoy the holiday and leave your car keys with someone else if you drink too much.
