) Tell us a little about yourself. Where to start, I am married, and have four children (13, 12, 6, 3). I am a stay at home mom and I have my own home daycare business in which I watch mostly pt children, except in the summer when they turn into FT. I have a BA in Education and I'm currently taking college courses for Computer Graphics. I also own an on line Photography business called The Moonlight Attic (http://www.themoonlightattic.net) I specialize in product photography, photo editing, note cards, the design of bookmarks, post cards, and business cards.
) Do you enjoy the work you do? I've been doing daycare off and on for about 12 years, taking a break in the middle to teach 3 and 4th grade. After teaching for awhile, my husband and I decided we wanted more children and the only way we could afford that was to start the home daycare up again. This allows me to stay home with my children (which is what I really wanted to do). My passion however is the photography business.
) Did you know that this would be what you'd do as an adult? Or was it just something that happened (fate, fun, destiny, coincidence, financial need, etc)? I always knew I would be involved with children, this was obvious even as a young child. In high school I wanted to be a teacher, so that is what I became. However, my desire for a large family was stronger. Becoming a photographer happned purely by accident. I always loved taking pictures, however, my passion did not become realized until a friend of mine asked for some help taking product photographs of her jewelry. The rest is history. lol
) Where do you see yourself in five years? In five years I'm hoping that my photography business will have flourished and I will find myself bogged down with tons of work! lol

) Do You Have Any Advice You Could Give For Another Mom About Starting To Work From Home? The only thing I can say is that you need to believe in yourself, even when it feels like no one else does. Surround yourself with people that think positive, because it's very easy to let one negative comment bring you down. Last but not least, remember this, if you never try to succeed, you will never know if you can succeed.

Saucy Pepper Steak

1 green bell pepper, cut into strips
1 red bell pepper, cut into strips
1 yellow bell pepper, cut into strips
1 small onion, cut into strips
1 lb. Well-trimmed boneless beef sirloin steak, cut into strips
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp. Black pepper
3 Tbsp. Lite soy sauce
1/2 cup KRAFT Original Barbecue Sauce
2 cups hot cooked brown rice
HEAT large nonstick skillet sprayed with cooking spray on medium-high heat. Add bell peppers and onions; cook and stir 6 to 8 min. Or until vegetables are crisp-tender. Transfer to large bowl; keep warm.
ADD meat, garlic and black pepper to same skillet; cook and stir 3 min. Add soy sauce; cook 1 min. Or until meat is cooked through. Add barbecue sauce; cook until heated through.
SPOON meat mixture into bowl with vegetables; toss gently. Serve over rice.

Engineer and worked in a glue manufacturing facility to 8 years. I have been
a work at home mom for 9 years, now. I enjoy talking on the phone and
visiting with good friends. I love to study the Bible and books about the
Christian walk. I am very down to earth. I don't put-on a lot of our normal
social masks. I hate to dress up. I hate to wear make-up. I hate any kind of
'products' in my hair. Not to say I never do these things but I just like to
be my natural self. Ok, is that enough? :-)

Cookies & Cream Freeze

4 squares BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Baking Chocolate
14 OREO Chocolate Sandwich Cookies, divided
1 pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. Vanilla
1 tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed
MELT chocolate as directed on package; set aside until ready to use. Line 8-1/2x4-1/2-inch loaf pan with foil, with ends of foil extending over sides of pan. Arrange 8 of the cookies evenly on bottom of pan. Crumble remaining 6 cookies; set aside.
BEAT cream cheese, sugar and vanilla in medium bowl with electric mixer until well blended. Stir in whipped topping. Remove about 1-1/2 cups of the cream cheese mixture; place in medium bowl. Stir in melted chocolate.
SPREAD remaining cream cheese mixture over cookies in pan; sprinkle with crumbled cookies. Gently press cookies into cream cheese mixture with back of spoon; top with chocolate mixture. Cover. Freeze 3 hours or until firm. Remove from freezer about 15 min. Before serving; invert onto serving plate. Peel off foil; let stand at room temperature to soften slightly before cutting to serve.

Ingredients:
2 cups HONEY MAID Graham Cracker Crumbs
1-1/4 cups sugar, divided
6 Tbsp. Butter, melted
4 pkg. (8 oz. Each) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
1 cup BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream
Grated peel and juice from 1 lemon
4 eggs
1-1/4 cups sugar, divided

PREHEAT oven to 325°F. Mix crumbs, 1/4 cup of the sugar and the butter. Reserve 1/4 cup of the crumb mixture; press remaining crumb mixture firmly onto bottom of 13x9-inch baking pan. Set aside.
BEAT cream cheese and remaining 1 cup sugar in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Add sour cream; mix well. Stir in lemon peel and juice. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition just until blended. Pour over crust; sprinkle with reserved 1/4 cup crumb mixture.
BAKE 40 min. Or until center is almost set. Refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight. Store leftovers in refrigerator.

1 pkg. (4-serving size) JELL-O Pistachio Flavor Instant Pudding & Pie Filling

1 OREO Pie Crust (6 oz.)

What's Rachel Up To?
Not Much. I Am Sitting Here In My Pajama's Enjoying A Nice Hot Cup Of Coffee And Enjoying The Silence. Hubby Is Working And He Took All The Kids With Him When He Left For Work This Morning So The 2 Youngest Could Go To Vacation Bible School. My 2 Oldest Will Be Volunteering. This Is The First Time That My Youngest Has Ever Gone Anywhere Without Me Or Dad And He Was Sooo Excited This Morning When He Got Up. He Dressed Himself And Made His Own Breakfast ( A Bowl Of Cereal ) And He Just Kept Saying "No Mom, I'm A Big Boy, I Can Do It Myself" So As Much As I Wanted To Help Him With Something, I Have To Let Go And Let Him Be Independent. He Will Start Pre-k This Next School Year And He Is So Excited. I've Just Got To Get Used To It And Find A Hobby Or Something To Occupy My Time Or The Days Will Begin To Drag On. Soooo, I Sit Here In Front Of My Computer With The T.v On Just To Kill The Complete And Total Silence. Some Quiet Is Good But, I'm Not Sure What To Do With Myself All Alone. I've Cleaned Everything There Is To Clean, Scanned Today's Newspaper, Had A Bite To Eat And Even Went For A Walk. Nothing On T.v Really And Nobody's Online To Chat With...lol It Makes Me Want To Scream "Where The Hell Is Everybody?" So, For Now, I'm Off To Find Something To Do.

1 pkg. (7-1/4 oz.) KRAFT Macaroni & Cheese Dinner
1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
1 can ( 6 oz.) white tuna in water, drained, flaked
8 RITZ Crackers, crushed
PREPARE Dinner in large saucepan as directed on package, adding vegetables to the boiling Macaroni water for the last 2 min.
ADD tuna; mix lightly.
TOP with cracker crumbs just before serving.

While in line at the bank one afternoon, my toddler decided to release some pent-up energy and ran amok. I was finally able to grab hold of her after receiving looks of disgust and annoyance from other patrons. I told her that if she did not start behaving "right now" she would be punished.
To my horror, she looked me in the eye and said in a voice just as threatening, "If you don't let me go right now, I will tell Grandma that I saw you kissing Daddy's pee-pee last night!"
The silence was deafening after this enlightening exchange.
Even the tellers stopped what they were doing.
I mustered up the last of my dignity and walked out of the bank with my daughter in tow.
The last thing I heard when the door closed behind me, were screams of laughter.

My three-year-old son had a lot of problems with potty training and I was on him constantly. One day we stopped at Taco Bell for a quick lunch, in between errands. It was very busy, with a full dining room. While enjoying my taco, I smelled something funny, so of course I checked my seven-month- old daughter, she was clean. Then I realized that Danny had not asked to go potty in a while.
I asked him if he needed to go, and he said "No".
I kept thinking "Oh Lord, that child has had an accident, and I don't have any clothes with me."
Then I said, "Danny, are you SURE you didn't have an accident?"
"No," he replied. I just KNEW that he must have had an accident, because the smell was getting worse.
Soooooo, I asked one more time, "Danny did you have an accident?
This time he jumped up, yanked down his pants, bent over, spread his cheeks and yelled "SEE MOM, IT'S JUST FARTS!!"
While 30 people nearly choked to death on their tacos laughing, he calmly pulled up his pants and sat down. An old couple made me feel better, thanking me for the best laugh they'd ever had!
LAST BUT NOT LEAST TESTIMONY:
This had most of the state of Michigan laughing for 2 days and a very embarrassed female news anchor who will, in the future, likely think before she speaks.
What happens when you predict snow but don't get any! We had a female news anchor that, the day after it was supposed to have snowed and didn't, turned to the weatherman and asked: "So John, where's that 8 inches you promised me last night?"
Not only did HE have to leave the set, but half the crew did too they were laughing so hard!
Now, didn't that feel good? Heehee

My name is Miriam Grafer
I am a retired RN. I have been retired for 5 years. My husband and I have 7 children, 5 boys and 2 girls. We also have 7 grandchildren, #8 is in the process of being made and will be due in August.We have spent most of our lives on Long Island, New York. I was born in Germany and came here in 1953 when I was 4 1/2 years old. Our entire marriage we lived on Long Island. We bought a boat about 6 years ago and spent 2 1/2 years working on it. It is big enough to live on and we have been doing that for the last 2 1/2 years. We travel on the eastern seacoast, in the south in the winter and we go back home to New York in the summer. Last year we did what is called the "Great Loop Trip". Up the Hudson, through the Erie Canal to Lake Ontario and then to Canada - Trent Severn Waterway, Georgian Bay and North Channel - to Lake Michigan to Chicago, down the river system to the Gulf of Mexico and around Florida. Today we are in Cumberland Island Georgia.. While on our boat I started making crocheted with wire jewelry and started a business run from the boat. I have been crocheting for about 30 years, but never with wire and beads. I found not only did I love it but I had so many necklaces that I needed to live to be 500 to wear them all, so now I sell them.I try to do trunk parties or home parties while I am at dock. If someone contacts me via email or phone I can set up a schedule while at port, let them know when I will be in their area. Some docks I can set up and some I can't. If I am crocheting at the boat I will get people by who inquire what I am doing and then it goes from there. Frequently I will walk down the street with my necklaces on and people will stop me and ask me where I purchased my piece. When I tell them it is one of a kind that I designed, made and sell it is always a hit.I kind of fell into this business by way of hobby and expect to do this until I can't hold my crochet hook anymor.For internet and computer we have 2 computers on board and we have an aircard from Verizon. For $69.00 a month we have unlimited access to the internet and it doesn't interfere with our telephone. Last year we went to the Bahamas for 4 months and we used WiFi at the marinas for access because our air card didn't work overseas.For networking I have Ryze, Wayne, Moms Blogging Club, Twitter, Moms United in Business. I work outside the home as a homemaker with CCOA here in Caldwell, Idaho. I work about 15 hours per week cleaning houses for the elderly, been doing this since August of 2006. In five years, I would like to make more money from my candles; to have a team in Idaho; to go to a Mia Bella Convention here in Idaho.

) Are you married, single, divorced, never married, in a relationship? I am married to Mark since 1999. We have been together since 1997. I got married when I was 20 years old (December of 1986) to Neil's father, but we got divorced in August of 1992.

I work outside the home as a homemaker with CCOA here in Caldwell, Idaho. I work about 15 hours per week cleaning houses for the elderly, been doing this since August of 2006.
